I was upstairs this afternoon decompressing after an UGSFAW morning. Adam (our student life intern for the summer at church who is residing at the Roderick compound) came in and didn't realize I was home. He let the dogs out of the kennel and, of course, D&D book it upstairs knowing that I am up there. I heard Adam at the bottom of the stairs softly calling them. He had a decision to make.
You see at the Roderick's the dogs nor boys are allowed upstairs. Adam chose to follow the house rules even when he thought no one was at home. A character building moment for him and a respect moment for me.
I like that in our summer honorary Roderick.
