We woke up the next morning and us moms took all the kids to the beach. Yes I had all four girls and Hope was in a backpack. Marybeth had 3, Lydia had 1 and there were a bunch more of those little hooters running around in the sand.
The dads went to the dock with the crab traps. We had huge crab boil planned for the evening and we were all ready to eat us some fresh crab.
Greg and Dave had planned this fun weekend not thinking of the possibility being skunked. The thought of not catching any of the succulent sea dwellers didn't cross their minds. Then they started to panic. What are we going to feed these people if no crabs are trapped? Oh well. Might as well take your best shot.
The guys threw out the traps, left them out for about 15 minutes and started pulling them in. You will not believe this but they caught an abundance of crabs. These guys grew up in Oregon and went crabbing a lot and they never had seen anything like this.
When we gathered for our crab feast we actually got tired of cooking those babies and we all actually got sick of eating crab. Seriously.
Again, a God thing.
