ONE FAUCET

Today's challenge was to use one faucet in our homes for all water purposes. On the surface this seems easily accomplished. I found out quickly that it is certainly not, especially when you have a firecracker of a day soaring into the 90's.

We decided that our one faucet would be in the kitchen. Hindsight is 20/20 and that probably was not the best choice. We didn't realize how much we use the plumbing in our house. We couldn't do ordinary tasks such as flushing a toilet, washing hands, doing laundry, running the dishwasher, watering plants, showering, etc. etc. etc.

I caught myself several times using other faucets in the house. And I failed the challenge, so did Shae, because we had to take a shower at the end of the day. We were so uncomfortable, hot and sweaty, we just couldn't stand it. We would be horrible on a missions trip to somewhere hot. Scott, Hope and Addison finished strong, in heart and stench. They will be showering in the morning.

We did remember each time we used water, for whatever purpose, to pray for the Iraqi people, specifically the Women's Center.

Jesus said, "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life." John 4:13-14
