OUR BABY IS SEVENTEEN

Hope is seventeen today. What joy she has brought to us these last seventeen years. We look forward to many, many more.

We dined at The Old Speghetti Factory with Hope, CJ, Daisy, Dottie, Hailey, Lauren, Rachel, Addison, Shae, Scott and I. Much fun was had by all.

We arrived just as a huge fraternity was finishing up with prior festivites. As the gentlemen were leaving CJ jumps up and calls out a name or two, stunning us all. She saw a couple of guys she knew. Strange that a high school junior would know frat boys.

We were escorted to our table and began to question CJ about her acquaintances and she said "I went on a trip with them to Hawaii." WHAT? Apparently what she neglected to share with us was that she was with her parents on a mission trip with another church and the young men were associated with that church. Whew!

We thought for a minute that CJ was going to steal the Roderick thunder.
