BOYS DON'T SHOP

Well, it was bound to happen. When one spends as much time with the Roderick's as Matt, Anthony and Adam have, it is inevitable. They have drifted to the dark side. They have jumped into murky waters. They have learned the fine art of shopping. That's right . . . boys shopping and they loved it.

We stopped into Jack's Surfboards on our way home today to visit with Shae when the frenzy began. Items started flying off shelves. A pile was started on the front counter. Employees were being bombarded with questions. Complete strangers stopped and stared at the unusual activity. Shae was matching and calling in reinforcements. It was a sight to behold.

We arrived home and the second wave hit. Hope gathered up the novices and they headed downtown where even more spending occurred. HB stores tend to have a little more inventory this time of year. You know, because of the US Surfing Open. People were everywhere, but that did not stop the mission. Again, they arrived home with more treasures.

We dropped some serious cash today. Let it never be said that the power the Roderick girls wield can not turn boys into consumer mennions.
