OREGON TRAIL

We left the Roderick driveway at 3:00pm and headed straight to the local Mobil to fill her up. Much to Scott's dismay our fast pass did not function properly. Back to the Roderick's we go to pick up the credit card. We were behind schedule so we jumped on the 405 and headed north, intending to fill up on the other side of the Grapevine.

Scott, in his haste to fill up, inadvertantly took the wrong exit for a Mobil station and then he got back on the freeway heading south. He drove for 8 miles before an exit could be found. Finally we got back on the 405 driving north again. He is speeding down the freeway all grumpy because he has to repass cars. He hates passing cars twice. I don't know why but he does.

After finally filling up the old Hylander we are back on the road again only to hit road construction and the 10 mile an hour creep. Scott is raging now. He is here to conquer the road not to deal with all these challenges. He keeps looking in his rear view mirrors to see if any of the cars he's passed are now passing him. He's in a cycle of chaos.

Shae is listening to her iPod. I am knitting. Life is good for the female Roderick's on road trips.
